Diego Sanchez Vs. Jake Ellenberger Set For UFC On Fuel Debut

Details have finally come out regarding Diego Sanchez's long-awaited face-off with Jake Ellenberger. According to reports from BJPenn.com, the two welterweight contenders have been tapped to headline the UFC's debut on Fox-owned Fuel TV.

UFC officials have yet to confirm reports, however the card is reportedly scheduled for February 15th, 2012 in Ellenberger's home city of Omaha, Nebraska.

A bout between the two fighters has been rumored for some time, with Ellenberger being one of the most vocal parties.

"He's a great name, he's fought a lot of great fighters. I would love to fight Diego," the 26-year-old recently said to Brazilian outlet Tatame. "He brings a lot of good tools to the table, but he won't beat me."

Ellenberger (26-5) storms into the contest after knocking out former Strikeforce champion Jake Shields in 53 seconds flat at UFC Fight Night 25. Sanchez (23-4), meanwhile, returns for the first time since a broken hand derailed a date with Matt Hughes at UFC 135.
