As the season nears its conclusion, ratings continued to hold steady for Spike TV's 'The Ultimate Fighter 14'. Early figures acquired by MMA Nation indicate Wednesday's ninth episode collected 1.4 million viewers for a second straight week. As usual, the ratings blew out TUF 13's parallel episode, which earned just 1 million viewers.
Additionally, the one-hour broadcast drew a 1.1 household rating, a 1.44 in males age 18-49, and a 1.71 in males age 18-34. By comparison, last season's episode pulled a 0.9 household rating, a .90 in males 18 to 34, and a 1.0 in males 18 to 49. Among basic cable networks in their one-hour time slot, 'The Ultimate Fighter' again ranked third in the two key demographics behind Comedy Central's 'South Park/Nick Swardson' block and FX's 'American Horror Story'.
